The AI Snake

Privacy policy

The short version: The AI Snake does not collect, store, or share any personal data. There are no ads, no analytics, and no tracking of any kind. The app has no account of its own, and the only thing that ever leaves your device is your high score — and only if you choose to use Apple's Game Center leaderboard.

Everything happens on your device

The snake's comments are generated by Apple Intelligence directly on your iPhone, its voice is synthesized on your iPhone, and the music is synthesized on your iPhone. The game is fully playable offline, and nothing about how you play — your moves, your scores, or what the snake says to you — is ever sent anywhere to be analysed, profiled, or advertised against.

Data stored locally

Your best score and settings (such as your chosen snake personality) are saved on your device, and deleting the app deletes them. Apart from the optional Game Center leaderboard described below, they are never uploaded anywhere.

Game Center leaderboard (optional)

The app offers an optional global leaderboard powered by Apple's Game Center. If you are signed in to Game Center on your iPhone, your high score is submitted to that leaderboard, where it is visible to other players next to the nickname you have chosen in Game Center. Your score is the only information the app ever sends off your device.

Game Center is Apple's service: the sign-in, the leaderboard, and the nickname shown on it are handled by Apple under Apple's own privacy policy. The app never receives your Apple Account details, your real name, or any other personal information.

This is entirely optional. If you are not signed in to Game Center, or you sign out, nothing is ever submitted and the game simply keeps your best score on your device as before. You can also hide your profile or remove yourself from leaderboards at any time in your iPhone's Game Center settings.

Purchases

Any in-app purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. The app never sees your payment details or any other personal information from Apple.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted on this page before the update that changes it ships.
